Scything returns to Kilcullen

A group of Kilcullen Community Action volunteers gathered last evening to use scythes in cutting back the wildflower areas on the Naas Road.

The group described it as a 'learning process for all' but giving great satisfaction when the job was done.

They'll be using that same age-old technology on other wildflower meadows in Kilcullen in the coming weeks.

The work is part of Kilcullen's Biodiversity Action Plan.
