Online evening with Colm Tóibín

An online evening with Colm Tóibín, author of Brooklyn and The House of Mary, will be hosted by Woodbine Books and A Tale of Three Indies on Thursday 7 October.

The event begins at 8pm and the author will talk about his latest book, The Magician, published by Griffin Books. The Magician is based on the life of Thomas Mann, who wrote some of the greatest works of European literature, and win the Nobel Prize, but whose life was filled with great acclaim and contradiction. The book is described as 'a sweeping novel of unrequited love and exile, war and family'.
