Webinar on Sustainable Development for businesses

A webinar launch of a 'toolkit' for businesses aimed at helping them adopt UN Sustainable Development Goals will take place on Thursday next 15 July at 11am, writes Brian Byrne.

The online seminar is being hosted by Chambers Ireland in association with International Chambers of Commerce.

Industry experts taking part include Sinéad Hickey, Head of Sustainability at John Sisk & Son; Karen Deignan, Co-Founder of SustainabilityWorks; and Jeanne McDonagh, CEO, Open Doors Initiative.

The webinar is for businesses of all sizes across Ireland who wish to begin incorporating the Goals into their company or are looking for inspiration on how to expand on their engagement with the SDGs.

The Sustainable Development Goals or Global Goals are a collection of 17 interlinked global goals designed to be a "blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all". The SDGs were set up in 2015 by the United Nations General Assembly and are intended to be achieved by the year 2030.
