Refurbishment of Town Hall lighting studio

Work has been under way this week on essential safety repairs to the lighting control room of Kilcullen Town Hall, writes Brian Byrne.

It is being funded by a grant of €10,783 provided in the 2020 Community Enhancement Programme.

A new fire escape is part of the work, which has also replaced the old perspex windows with new opening ones, and closed up fully the doorway that originally opened onto an external stairs.

The section was built as the projection box for the cinema which preceded the conversion into the Town Hall Theatre.
