Webinar on business opportunities in 'Circular Economy'
An afternoon webinar on business opportunities in the 'Circular Economy' is open free to Kildare businesses on 30 June, writes Brian Byrne. The event will run from 1pm-4pm and is organised by the Kildare Local Enterprise Office.
The webinar will encourage 'thinking circular' to achieve cost savings, better resource efficiency, and find new opportunities. A circular economy involves sharing, leasing, reusing, repairing, refurbishing and recycling existing materials and products as long as possible, extending their life cycle.
Speakers will include circular economy consultant Mike Higgins, Barry Brophy of the Queally Group, and Sean Whelan of Wisetek on challenges and opportunities posed by Covid-19. A panel discussion with Barry Flanagan of Kildare Brewing Company, John Kelly from Clanard Court Hotel, Aoife Rooney from Aoife Lifestyle, and Louise Lonergan from Lonergan Corporate Gifts will focus on key areas and strategies. Jacqui McNabb Head of Enterprise & Economic Development LEO Kildare will outline the business support organisation's new Green for Micro programme.
The webinar will conclude with a Masterclass in how to eliminate single-use plastics from a business.
