New EPA website launched today
Ireland's Environmental Protection Agency has launched a new version of its website today, in the run-up to World Environment Day on Saturday next 5 June, writes Brian Byrne.
The aim of the new website is to make it easier for people to become involved in protecting the environment at a time 80pc of respondents to a survey said they had taken action to help do so.
The new site has a special Environment and You section which highlights key actions people can take, especially relating to waste, drinking water, radon, air quality and climate change.
The site offers targeted, timely, and trusted information over a range of environmental topics as well as access to publications on themes such as the Circular Economy, Compliance & Enforcement, Licensing, and Research.
The new website is also mobile-friendly.
