Billy says thanks for all the well wishes

During and after a period in hospital last month, Billy Redmond received numerous phone calls, texts, mass bouquets and well wishes from many far and wide. Because he couldn't possibly respond to say thanks for them all, he's asked the Diary to give him space to do so.

"All of them gave me a great boost," he says, "and were much appreciated."
