Warning about bogus 'garda' callers

A warning about bogus callers to homes claiming to be gardai has been issued by Kilcullen Garda Station, writes Brian Byrne.

According to the alert, some 'cold callers' to homes are claiming to be checking for counterfeit banknotes.

"We never do this," Gda Jon Brien says, asking people to remind older family and friends to be vigilant to such cold callers.
