WEATHER

Dry and bright today, with sunny spells and isolated showers after cloud and any lingering rain in the northeast clears early. Becoming cloudier through the evening with scattered showers moving eastwards. Highest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees in light to moderate southwesterly winds.

DID YOU KNOW?

More than three-quarters of all plastics produced since 1950 have become waste, according to studies. Approximately 9 per cent has been recycled, 12 per cent incinerated, and the rest has ended up in landfills or the environment. Oil companies, seeing the widespread adoption of electric vehicles challenging their income streams, plan to boost petrochemical production for plastics to an estimated 1.1 billion tonnes annually by 2050, more than double current production.

Photography meet-up cancelled

Tonight's meet-up for the Kilcullen Photography Club has been cancelled due to adverse weather.

The club hopes to reorganise one in the near future.
