Webinar on community help for remote working

An online event about adapting community facilities for remote workers should be of significant interest, on Tuesday 20 April, writes Brian Byrne.
Organised by Clann Credo, the event will explore the role of community organisations in facilitating hybrid remote working solutions. It will start at 7.30pm on the day and is free, but registration is required at EventBrite here
The webinar will consider the main challenges facing people working from home, including lack of access to high-speed broadband, lack of suitable workspace at home, and the lack of social interaction throughout the working day.
Among other things, participants will find out about the types of facilities and services required to promote sustainable remote working practices. They will also hear from a community that has adapted facilities to enable remote workers and students to access high speed broadband.
The speakers will include Tracey Hannon, Clann Credo – Community Loan Finance; Sean O'Coisdealbha, Údarás na Galetachta; and John Lynch, St Aidan’s GAA Club , Co Roscommon.
