Kings & Clowns aim for book, and Time Capsule

Writing their own personal stories about the last 14 months is the key exercise planned for students at the Kings & Clowns Drama School in the coming term, writes Brian Byrne.

School director Rani Grennell says she's hoping to find a publisher for a book of the stories, with proceeds going to Children in Need.

And looking down time to a decade hence, the students are also going to prepare a Time Capsule which will be buried in Rani's garden. "Our agreement is that in ten years we will all meet up to unearth it," she says.

During the last year, when activities at the School were mostly carried out online, the students learned about making documentaries, and also devised plays and cast them amongst themselves. Stand-up Comedy and Public Speaking were other projects.

"I am so proud of my students who have adapted to these extraordinary times," Rani says.
