Funding found for Old Kilcullen survey

A geophysical survey of Old Kilcullen will get under way in 'coming months', councillors were told today at the monthly meeting of the Kildare-Newbridge MD, writes Brian Byrne.

The confirmation came on foot of a question from Cllr Tracey O'Dwyer, who was told that funding has been secured for the project from the Heritage Council.

The County Heritage Officer will engage with the Old Kilcullen Area Community Association on the project, the report to the meeting said, and the findings of the study will inform the future heritage interpretation for the area.
