Design Team appointed for CPC extension
A Design Team has been appointed to progress the planned extension to Cross and Passion College in Kilcullen, as well as the Patrician Post Primary in Newbridge, writes Brian Byrne.
This follows the recent agreement by the Department that the projects can go to tender. Each extension will bring the schools' capacity to 1,000 students.
The latest move has been welcomed by Minister of State Martin Heydon, Fine TD for Kildare South. "We are all aware of the stress and anxiety waiting on a school place can cause so this is very welcomed news.
"I will continue to support both schools throughout this process to ensure the extensions are delivered as soon as possible as well as the securing of a site for the new Curragh Post Primary School."
