Town Design Statement consultants pull out

The Kilcullen Design Statement project being promoted by KCA has been paused, following a decision by consultants that they are not in a position to proceed, writes Brian Byrne.

It now looks like it can't be restarted before the autumn, when new consultants have been appointed.

But project leader Orla O'Neill says the delay might be fortuitous as it gives the group a better opportunity for a more inclusive public consultation (listen to audio above).

The €22,000 initiative is funded by the the County Kildare Leader Partnership and LPT funds from Kildare County Council members.
