The Enterprise Skills Programme offered by the County Kildare Leader Partnership is now recruiting for the next session beginning 10 May 2021, writes Brian Byrne.
It's a 14-week programme under the Community Employment Scheme, geared to helping self-employed start up a business. It requires participants to be involved for 19.5 hours a week over the full period. Two days a week will be group training with qualified professionals, the remainder of the week to be spent developing their business plan workbook.
The course — currently being delivered online — covers market research, sales and marketing, book-keeping and financial planning, managing time and stress, and more.
Those seeking to get on the programme must be in receipt of a relevant Social Welfare Payment and be registered with the Local Employment Service. They will also need access to a computer and wifi.
