Planning application for the Emerald Building

An application to change the use of the Emerald Building on Lower Main Street from office to residential has been made by Helen McDonnell. The building was formerly the headquarters of Emerald Bloodstock Services.

The application lodged with Kildare County Council on 12 March also seeks permission for the demolition of an existing single storey extension and galvanised sheds, and the provision of five car parking spaces, private open space and all ancillary works.

In addition, changes are sought to previously granted permission to the neighbouring No 10, increasing a minor extension from 16.64 sqm at the rear to 35.1 sqm.
