Local roads to be repaired

The Kilcullen to Carnalway Road is to be included in the 2021 Roads Maintenance Programme following representation by Cllr Tracey O'Dwyer, writes Brian Byrne.

It is one of a number of rural roads that she had requested be included which were approved at yesterday's meeting of the Kildare-Newbridge MD. The others which will be in the maintenance schedule are Kennycourt  to Gormanstown, and the LS6080 at Old Kilcullen.

Road improvements are to be scheduled for the L-6047 Coughlanstown Road (Ballymore Eustace to Kilcullen Road), the L-6045 Flemingstown (Road from Mullacash to Coughlanstown), and the L-6068 Green Avenue, Newlands South.

"I have made numerous representations on these Rural Roads with the Council and I look forward to seeing these projects completed," the councillor says.
