Food for the Weekend: The River Cafe

Through lockdown, the River Cafe remains a Kilcullen go-to for hot food takeout from morning through to mid-afternoon each weekday.

Among the possibilities each day are, for breakfast, Breakfast Brioche €6.50; Toasted Bagel with Bacon, Avocado and Cream Cheese €6; Bacon and Sausage in a Grilled Brioche Bap with Ballymaloe Relish €5; Breakfast Ham & Cheese Croissant €4.50.

For lunch a selection of Wraps €6; Stuffed Chicken on doorstep brown or white €5.50; Toasted BLT €5.50; the River Special Grilled Ciabatta €6.50; Turkey and Emmental Melt €7; and Grilled Goat's Cheese Ciabatta €7.
