A candle for Michael Kelleher

This candle was lit this morning by St Brigid's National School in Ballysax, as the funeral of former Principal Michael Kelleher took place in Johannesburg, South Africa.

He was described as 'a dear friend of the school' and many people from the Kilcullen area, where he first worked as a teacher, have expressed their recollections of him as 'kind and gentle', a gentle man', and more, and someone who 'will be missed by all who knew him'.

May he rest in peace.
