Corbally biodiversity trail plan to be explored

Kildare's Heritage Officer is to discuss with Irish Waterways the feasibility of upgrading the canal towpath between Corbally Harbour and Naas to a biodiversity walking trail, writes Brian Byrne.

This follows a motion by Cllr Tracey O'Dwyer on the matter which was on the agenda of yesterday's meeting of the Kildare Newbridge Municipal District.

In response, Council officials said such a discussion could lead to the project being included as a new objective in the Draft Kildare County Development Plan 2023-2029.
