Applications open for Primary Schools National Gallery scheme

A call out for Primary Schools in the country to take part in a series of National Gallery of Ireland Workshops opens today for applications, writes Brian Byrne.

Six schools will be selected to take part in the programme, Your Gallery at School. They will participate in a tailored programme of activities including individual practical workshops, sensory sessions, talks and Q&As.

The scheme is aimed at engagement with children who may not usually be able to visit the Gallery or who face barriers in accessing culture.

Your Gallery at School is an extension of the Gallery's partnership with global aircraft leasing company SMBC Aviation Capital.

A post-primary school phase will run in Autumn 2021. Primary applications are now open; post-primary applications will open in August 2021. For details of how to apply, key dates and application forms, click here.
