Pat Tinsley Calendar on sale in Kilcullen

Pat Tinsley 2021 Calendars
are now on sale at the Brown Bear, Two Mile House, and Woodbine Books, Kilcullen, writes Rose Barrett O'Donoghue.

Pat, a well-known photographer from Newbridge, lives with hATTR Amyloidosis, a degenerative and debilitating disease. The same illness that Martin McGuinness died from in Northern Ireland.

The drug Patisiran, if it were approved, would make a great difference for Pat. This drug is available in NI, the UK, Europe and the US but has not even been considered by the HSE Drugs Group here. A campaign to highlight the need for Patisiran to be approved by the HSE is being continued by a group of Pat's friends.

In two years Pat has lost 23 kilos in weight and has a miserable existence from bed to bathroom, with constant dizziness and weakness. GAA fans will remember him from only a couple of years back, up and down the sidelines at St Conleth's or at Croke Park, endless energy and loving the buzz of sport.

The Calendars are €12 each or two for €20. There are also PayPal links on Pat Tinsley Calendar on Facebook and patttinsleycalendar1 on Instagram.

All support would be greatly appreciated.

Also on sale at The Elms Gourmet Pantry & Interiors;  in Naas at Adora FujiFilm and Barker & Jones; Sallins: Reilly's SuperValu; Newbridge: Newbridge Silverware, Farrell & Nephew Books & Gifts; the Kiosk Flowers & Gifts, Cross SuperValu, Centra Highfield, PJ Duffy Service Station and other outlets.
