Colder weather alert

Kildare County Council has issued a Yellow Alert for colder weather from tomorrow, writes Brian Byrne.

The alert warns of it being 'much colder' for the rest of the week, with sharp to severe frosts and icy stretches. Some wintry showers are possible.

Motorists are particularly asked to exercise care while driving. Pedestrians should also be aware of the possibilities of icy roads and footpaths.

The alert is valid from 4pm Wednesday 2 December to 11pm on Friday 4 December.
