Covid infection rate in Newbridge LEA drops

The Covid-19 infection rate in the Newbridge Local Electoral Area has dropped back to 177.6 per 100,000 people over seven days, writes Brian Byrne.

The latest figures on the Covid-19 Ireland Data Hub show that in the 14-day Incidence to 26 October, the drop compares to a 233.9 rate recorded seven days previously on 19 October.

The national infection rate as of 26 October stood at 307.6, compared to 279.3 a week before.

Kilcullen is part of the Newbridge LEA. The rates in neighbouring LEAs are Naas 309.36 (previously 276), Athy 169.5 (124.3), Baltinglass 160.5 (175.8) and Kildare 151.7 (124.5).
