Rain and wind warning for county next week

A rain and wind weather warning has been issued by Met Eireann for Kildare early next week. The warning is rated as a Moderate Advisory with severity at Yellow, from 11pm on Sunday to 5pm on Thursday.

It forecasts conditions turning unsettled by the end of the weekend, with a spell of very wet and at times windy weather on Monday and Tuesday. Persistent and locally heavy rainfall, coupled with high soil saturation levels, brings a risk of river and surface flooding.

The advisory is countrywide, and on coasts unusually high tides combined with strong winds gives an elevated risk of coastal flooding.
