Colouring up downtown Kilcullen

There's a new splash of colour in downtown Kilcullen with the erection today of umbrellas and witch-hat decorations, writes Brian Byrne.

They're in the lane between the Heritage Centre and Martin Murphy's new offices, and the installation also includes strings of lights the length of the lane. It should look quite spectacular at night too.

The idea was Esther Moore's and the installation was carried out by Garoid Doyle, Paul Wilson and Brian 'George' Curran. The umbrellas were sponsored by John Berney.
