Annual Healthy Ireland Survey now under way

The 7th annual Healthy Ireland Survey has just got under way, and if you are asked to participate, it would be a good thing to do so, writes Brian Byrne.

The survey on behalf of the Department of Health is being undertaken by independent market research company Ipsos MRBI, who are issuing letters to a randomly selected number of households in the state.

The letter will invite the recipients to call a number and complete the Survey by telephone.

Those who take part are asked about their views and behaviours regarding a wide range of health-related issues, such as smoking, alcohol consumption, diet and nutrition, the ways in which they use different health services and other topics relevant to health and health services.

The Survey is part of Healthy Ireland, the National Framework for action to improve health and wellbeing of people living in Ireland. More information here
