Sabina talks about cancer for Coffee Morning fundraiser

Kilcullen's Sabina Reddy is one of a number of women telling their story about breast cancer on the Irish Cancer Society's website as part of a fundraising campaign, writes Brian Byrne.

She describes how she was 'completely shocked' when her GP told her she had a tumour, and highlights the mental challenges for those diagnosed with the disease.

Her story is against the background of the upcoming 'Cups Against Breast Cancer' fundraiser this October, which proposes hosting 'virtual' coffee mornings in the Covid-19 situation.

The campaign will run through October, and the personal events can be registered on the website, following which a downloadable fundraising pack will be available.
