Money allocated to fix Cnoc na Greine lights
A €36,000 investment from the Local Property Tax funds has been allocated for fixing the public lights in Cnoc na Greine estate, writes Brian Byrne.
The news was given to Cllr Tracey O'Dwyer at yesterday's meeting of the Kildare Newbridge MD, and the work will bring the estate closer to being taken in charge by the Council.
But the councillor warns that further investment in the estate will be required over the next one to two years to bring it to the necessary standard. "The lighting phase was the first and necessary step in the overall project so it was essential we got this phase over the line," she said this evening on her Facebook page.
Cllr O'Dwyer paid tribute to the 'great teamwork' of the Building Control Department in KCC, her fellow councillors, and the Cnoc na Greine residents for the progress to date.
