Lining up for Crean's Place baking
The Crean's Place pop-up bread and pastries business at the Leinster Marts was busy this morning, with customers lining up as soon as they pitched their tent around 10am, writes Brian Byrne.
The sourdoughs were sold out, mostly by pre-orders, almost immediately. Still, a brown focaccia made with olives and sun-dried tomatoes was a more than adequate consolation for Saturday brunch.
The stall pops up tomorrow, Sunday, at Lumville House Market, from 12 noon until 3pm, and also in Kildare Town on Sunday 13 September for the same times. "We're getting used to the market life," Salima says with a smile.
