Ghostly tales for Culture Night 2020
A intriguing presentation for Culture Night next Friday relates to a distance from Kilcullen, but will be worth watching online, writes Brian Byrne.
The title The Ghosts of Tea Lane Graveyard is attractive enough — it references the ancient graveyard in Celbridge which among others holds the remains of Speaker Conolly, of Castletown House, his wife Katherine, Louisa Lennox Connolly, ‘The Lady in White’ the Dongon family, Henry Grattan Junior as well as lesser well known families.
The piece of theatre will feature those historical people and their lifestyles, which were echoed in the 'big houses' all across Ireland. It will be streamed from 4pm, with details and links available from here closer to the night.
