Puzzle of altered junction at Yellow Bog
They say it totally changes the working of a junction, putting a stop sign 'where there never was one', according to one resident who contacted the Diary.
"It’s actually bizarre ... gives right of way to the lane which always stopped for the road to Gilltown. The cross itself isn’t marked at the church still even though this desperately needs to be done."
The Diary would have thought that some procedures need to be followed, including a request from An Garda, when there are changes to an existing junction? We will enquire tomorrow, but in the meantime, if you are a local driver, be careful ... what you are used to may no longer be so.
