Halverstown CC meeting North Kildare on Saturday

Halverstown Cricket Club will host North Kildare CC this Saturday at the local club's grounds in Brannockstown for the Kildare Derby game, writes Brian Byrne.

It has been four years since the two clubs met in the League, and North Kildare then won comfortably with seven wickets.

There will be live Twitter updates from Saturday's match, which starts at 1pm (NOTE this is a change to the originally posted time). The club's XV are C Wardrop, K Threadgold, A Syed, K Hodson, B Ashmore, G Bayer, H Beaumont (Capt), J Threadgold, V Yannam, N Case and D Braithwaite.

The Halverstown Oaks team will host RTE on Sunday at 2pm, also in Brannockstown.
