Community Garden — ain't no mountain high

Well, a second evening of volunteer spadework achieved the levelling of the 'mountain' of topsoil at the Community Garden project in the grounds of the Library, writes Brian Byrne.

It was spread by barrows into an area bounded by the foundations of a previous prefab building on the former Boys School site. This will form the nucleus of the first phase of the Garden project, under a plan developed by Kilcullen Community Action.

And if you missed out on helping during last night and last Thursday evening, fear not ... another load of topsoil is on the way!
