Weatherday: Death in pursuit of votes for women

A little rain this morning will be followed by a mainly cloudy but dry day.

Westerly winds will vary from gentle to moderate, with highest temperature in this area expected to be no more than 13deg.

On this day in 1913, suffragette Emily Davison was fatally injured by King George V's horse, after she had walked out on the track at the Epsom Derby.

You can listen to my podcast about the event here.
