The passing of John Houghton

The Diary has learned of the death of John Houghton of The Close, Liffey Hall, Newbridge, and late of Kilcullen and Scotland, on 5 June 2020.

A retired engineer, horse breeder and trainer, John passed away peacefully at his home with his loving family broken-hearted by his side. He is sadly missed by his loving wife Bridget, daughter Hazel, son Osbert, son-in-law Mal, daughter-in-law Sheila, grand children Sophie, Isabella, Isla, Margot, niece, extended family, relatives and friends.

A private funeral will take place due to government advice regarding public gatherings.
