South Kildare 'hidden gems' map for launch tomorrow

A map showing the historical sites worth visiting in south Kildare will be launched virtually on Facebook tomorrow, writes Brian Byrne.

Produced by the South Kildare Villages History and Heritage Group, the map will be made available in several locations around the county.

The group hopes it will encourage local people and visitors to find the 'hidden gems' in the area.

Dun Ailinne, Calverstown Village, Ballitore and Narraghmore are included in the 20 attractions listed. The publication also has indicators of the location of walking routes, food, golf, camping, public houses, shops and hotels.
