'Responses awaited' on Kilcullen bus shelters

Cllrs Tracey O'Dwyer and Fiona McLoughlin Healy.
Kildare County Council has confirmed to Cllr Tracey O'Dwyer that a request about a feasibility study for bus shelters has indeed been sent to the National Transport Authority, and a response is currently awaited, writes Brian Byrne.

Similarly, at the Kildare-Newbridge MD meeting held yesterday, Cllr Fiona McLoughlin Healy was told that responses are awaited in relation to the handover of land by Cross and Passion College to facilitate the construction of a bus shelter, and the funding for it.

The subject of a roundabout provision for Thompson's Cross is to remain on the Kildare County Council's progress report.

The meeting also heard that the Council will not be building a footpath from Athgarvan Village to Kinneagh Cross.
