Newbridge RFC appeal for funding
Newbridge Rugby Club has set up a GoFundMe appeal to raise €10,000 to cover standing and maintenance costs as normal fundraising events were cancelled due to the coronavirus restrictions, writes Brian Byrne.
The club was formed in 1996 with the amalgamation of neighbouring teams Curragh RFC and Old Kilcullen RFC and fields three adult teams as well as having thriving Minis, Youths and Girls sections.
Even though it is off-season from May-July, the club has significant running costs, and events which would have helped contribute to these had to be abruptly cancelled with the premature ending of the 2019/2020 season.
The club is appealing to members and friends, and anyone who is or has been involved with Newbridge RFC past and present as a player or a parent, to donate.
