Looking Back: The pump in its prime

From Josephine Byrne comes this photo taken about 30 years ago, showing her and Des's twin daughters Elma and Aine playing with the pump outside The Hideout.

Note the broken path, which was lower than it is today. Also the pump was still in use then. The kiosk at the filling station will no doubt bring back memories to many who worked there.

After three years' absence following being knocked down, the pump was finally put back in place last week.
