Kilcullen's bank to reopen at month's end, with shorter hours
Kilcullen's Bank of Ireland branch will reopen on Monday 29 June, having been closed since the beginning of the Covid restrictions, writes Brian Byrne.
But it will only be opening in the mornings, from 10am-1pm, Monday to Friday.
As has been the case since 2017, the branch will only offer financial advice and self-service banking. But the reopening does mean that ATM lodgement services will resume.
The bank also says that there will be alterations made so that social distancing can be maintained while customers are on the premises.
There had been fears that the Kilcullen branch might not be reopened at all, and Cllr Tracey O'Dwyer has been in discussion with the BOI regional management to try and get reassurance on this.
Leixlip and Monasterevin branches, which had also been closed, will reopen on 29 June in tandem with Kilcullen.
