It's once more a lovely morning, some high clouds and sunshine.

The clouds will clear quickly and the sun will give a mild 16deg air temperature through the afternoon. South-easterly winds will be gentle.

On this day in 1994, the Channel Tunnel was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom and President Francois Mitterand of France. You can listen to my piece about it below.
