Permission granted for Kilsaran factory extension
An application by Kilsaran to extend a Tile Manufacturing Building at its Brownstown site outside Kilcullen has been granted by Kildare County Council, subject to conditions, writes Brian Byrne.
The application was lodged in February, and the building additions are to a previously granted permission in 2017. The extensions included lean-to additions for carpentry and materials storage, extra offices and welfare facilities, a new bagging shed, and related works.
Submissions on the application had been made by Cllr Tracey O'Dwyer, Shay and Niamh Corcoran, Kilcullen Community Action, Cllr Peggy O'Dwyer, Ballyshannon Action group, and Jim and Samantha Crawford.
Kildare County Council will be paid €98,138 under the Development Contribution Scheme of the Planning and Development Act 2000.
