Garda helicopter, cars, in search in Brannockstown

There was Garda activity in Brannockstown, following what were reported as a car chase and some collisions around 9pm this evening, writes Brian Byrne.

It is believed there has been an arrest.

The Garda helicopter had been flying over the the village and the nearby Gilltown Stud for some time. Several Garda cars were observed driving around the area.
