Bringing the Library to your door

Kildare Library Service has launched a library housebound service for elderly and vulnerable residents of Kildare who are cocooning due to the Covid-19 emergency.

A wide variety of books, audiobooks, large print titles and DVDs are available. The service is co-ordinated through Kildare County Council’s Community Call Helpline. A selection of five library items will be delivered to their home by a member of the library team. The team will also collect the items once the person has finished with them and provide a new selection if they would like them.

This service is available to all cocooning residents in the county, young or old, and you do not have to be an existing member of the library to take part.
