Guess what this is ...

Sorry if this hits you during or just after your dinner. But the Diary is lately inundated with reports of dog shit being left on the ground around the town, writes Brian Byrne.

(We're fed up being twee about it too. It's shit, no less.)

This is the latest of many that we didn't post. Collected by a lady who walks her own dog around Cnoc na Greine and the Community Centre. Not her own dog's, but what was left by other dogs and their owners.

"It is shocking," she says. "I know we are on lockdown so people are walking their dogs more, but c'mon ... I found loads of poos on the grass opposite to the long wall from Cnoc Na Greine, then nearly every metre around the soccer pitch beside Avondale ... I was disgusted by the lack of respect of people."

Quite. As I said to her, the dog owners who let this happen probably don't read the Diary. And probably don't care anyway.
