We have some names at the threshing

Courtesy of John Brady, we may have most of the names, and the possible location in this photograph which Vivian Clarke gave the Diary recently. It's actually a photocopy of a photo, so not very clear.

At the front, John thinks the man on the left is Martin Ivory, brother of Ned Ivory who used to have a farrier's at Knockbounce. Next is Paddy Ryan, John thinks, and then Mattie Maloney, and finally John O'Neill who was the Sacristan in Kilcullen during Canon Furlong's tenure as parish priest.

Up on the threshing mill, which John says was owned by Mattie Maloney, with his back to the photographer, is Peter O'Neill. He suggests, because of those involved, that the threshing was being done in the grounds of the Cross and Passion Convent.

Any other thoughts will be very much welcomed.

Note: The original photocopy from Vivian has been replaced by a better version from Nessa Dunlea, 15 May 2020.
