Crafty day in Library next Saturday

There's a Crafts theme to the National Library Open Day on Saturday 29 February, and donations are being taken in Kilcullen's Library for a Craft Swap session on the day, writes Brian Byrne.

Crafts demonstrations are a feature of the Leap Day event, and will take place between 12.30pm-2.30pm.

"Bring your unloved craft items and swap them for something that you want," says Librarian Julie O'Donoghue. "Like this lovely wool and knitting needles which were donated already."

Once again, your local Library is so much more than the long-redundant 'shush'. In Kilcullen, the promised demonstrations include how to crochet a butterfly and how to make a reusable fabric gift bag.
