Place posters with care — Council

Kildare County Council has asked those erecting election posters should have due regard to accessibility and road safety.

This follows reports that some posters have been erected at almost ground level, and this is causing obstructions on footpaths.

The Council also says it has reports of poster placements that obstruct visibility at roundabouts and road junctions.

The requirement for all posters to be removed by 15 February 2020 has also been emphasised by the Council. Failure to do so can result in on the spot fines of €150 per offence.
