Kilcullen GAA lights up tonight for Operation Transformation
Starting tonight, Thursday 9 January, at 7.30pm Kilcullen GAA 'lights up' For Operation Transformation, writes Liam Cronin.
Do you want to get moving and active this New Year, but you have nowhere to go? Do you find it hard to find a safe and well-lit area to go walk during the dark winter months? Well, Kilcullen GAA has the answer!
The popular ‘Ireland Lights Up’ walking initiative returns this evening in partnership with Kilcullen GAA, Operation Transformation, and Get Ireland Walking. Every Thursday until 27 February 2020, Kilcullen GAA Training Pitch floodlights will be lit up from 7.30pm–8.30pm in order to facilitate this.
Registration will start at 7.15pm. No 1 Fitness Club will do the warm-up 7.25pm and the walk starts at 7.30pm. Ballygowan water will be served during the walk and after the walk, sponsored by Britvic Ireland. We want everyone to come and join for Ireland Lights Up 2020.
Please make sure to have your walking gear with bright hi-viz vest/clothing at all times when walking, if you don’t have hi-viz Kilcullen GAA will provide on the night. No dogs allowed on the walk for Health and Safety reasons. Any questions contact Liam Cronin at 087-9680399.
